Transport of Delight

Over the past three days the Foundation in Art & Design students based at the Tregye campus have been working on a project called “Transport of Delight.” The idea being to work in small teams and create/produce a sculptural model of a mode of fantastical transport which will take you to your place of delight.

FREE Art & Design Saturday Club

Truro & Penwith College, in conjunction with University College Falmouth, will be delivering a FREE Art and Design Saturday Club programme for young people aged 14-16.

The club is a national initiative set up by the Sorrell Foundation.

The club will start on 28th Sept and runs from 9.30-11am.

There will be two trips to London over the course of the year, one exhibition visit and one end of year exhibition.

So come along and get creative!

Fine Art Museum Visit

Students from the Extended Diploma Fine Art Pathway spent time at Truro museum today. Taking inspiration from paintings of St. Ives they sketched ideas for their first project of the year. We look forward to viewing the finished results.

The college has raised over £400 over past two years for local charity Cornwall Hospice Care.

Level 3 Extended Diploma (Yr2) Induction

Students starting year 2 spent time today on a paper aeroplane construction challenge. Putting their minds and throwing arms to good use they designed, built and flew their creations with varying results. Entries ranged from flying disc`s to elegent bi-planes and everything in between.
