A wide range of students from Penwith College will be showcasing their work under canvas on the Harbour Car Park, bringing their many talents and skills to the Penwith Community.

The Collective presents “Bahari, the ocean leads us anywhere” the annual exhibition of work by Penwith College Art and Design Students which this year forms part of the Golowan Goes Global celebrations in the town.

This is the second year that this exhibition has been produced on such a large scale, incorporating work from A level, Vocational Diploma, Access and Foundation studies students as well as work from part time students studying at Penzance School of Art – all in one great show and during the amazing Golowan Festival Week.

The Bahari exhibition celebrates the diverse range of art and design work produced by students on our courses at Penwith College. The work on display is conceptually dynamic, skilfully crafted and passionately produced by students aged between 16 and 80, for whom the opportunity to exhibit right here in the heart of the community is an exciting moment and one which the staff are extremely proud to be able to offer them.

For some of our students this represents the beginning of a life long journey in the development of their own artistic visual identity. A journey of exploration and new experiences, it’s the first major stepping stone towards their future successes. For others in this show this consolidates their position as creatively assured individuals. From beginners to experienced practitioners, our students have collectively produced an exhibition guaranteed to inspire, invigorate and amaze our visitors.
