The new Product Design & Built Environment students try their hand at prototype modelling. Just a few weeks in and they have designed a miniature point of sale using Solidworks which is an industry standard CAD software package. Once designed they transfer the files to the laser for cutting while having ago at traditional shaping techniques. Next step will be the use of emerging technologies to create new buildings and products.
The students are collectively known as fluffs. A name they have gained from being taught by the only remaining lecture, our very own Sean Dugan, in the country to be found sporting the 80’s mullet hairstyle.
Now turn up the hair metal, dust off the spandex and lets do some design!
