Photogrammetry

ring wood

Jess Hannell, a UAL Extended Diploma in Art & Design student, created a hollow ring in balsa as part of a body adornment project. Done in response to a visit to Trelissick House and Garden, Cornwall, and based on structural elements of the National Trust property’s solarium. Jess developed a series of pieces to be worn on the finger resulting in this final structure.

This piece was then painstakingly recorded by Jason Miller, Applied Media BA student, using a techniques called photogrammetry. The resultant model can be viewed at the following link HERE.
