AROUND THE DEPARTMENT 28/11

Another week, another round up of fab artwork from our students.
Life Drawing Art Academy were working on their wire sculptures, Extended Diploma second year Art has animation in progress, year 1 A level graphics students are experimenting with relief prints and Second year Extended Diploma students on the Graphics Pathway created these images by constructing dioramas in response to the theme ‘House of Sin’. Each student created a room for one of the Seven Deadly Sins, working inventively on a small scale to create maximum impact!
Finally the art department helped to create another lantern this year for the Truro City of Light parade, can you spot him?

Foundation Art and Design Ideas and Concepts students @truro_penwith were taken out of their comfort zone during an experimental drawing task using their bodies… the results were great!

Elevate: The Truro College Art and Design Summer Show 2019

A selection of images from our 14th summer show here at Lemon Quay, Truro.
I`ll let the photos and the artwork speak for itself!

Large scale Cyanotypes

These are large scale Cyanotypes by Foundation Art and Design student Giulia Ausenda Stanford.
They are initial experimental pieces for part of her Final Major Project where she is exploring the human form through multi-media approaches.
A cyanotype is one of the oldest forms of photography, used in the late 18th century to record flora and fauna.
