There is a new event this year called Truro Day, which is being held on Sunday 14th September at Boscawen Park. The event aims to celebrate Truro and will feature a nostalgic look back at how Truro has changed, as well as showcasing local clubs, sports, music and organisations. Christmas Hats Competition at McDonald’s Restaurant
Today staff and customers at McDonald`s in Truro will be raising money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (helping hundreds of families benefit every night from the free beds they provide so everyone can stay close by whilst seriously ill children are in hospital) by making and wearing a glorious aray of fabulous festive hats. Our very own Martin Page head of Art & Design will be judging the winner at lunchtime.
And the results are in!
Entries were varied but top honours went to a young lad who fashioned his jaunty xmas headgear entirely out of fries cartons (3rd from left in the below photo)
A big thanks to the staff at McDonalds for looking after us and running a fine competiton!
