Our Print Academy wishes you a Happy New Year!
Just before last term ended the print Academy students enjoyed making their own hand printed Christmas cards, There were many gorgeous designs! We can’t believe Christmas is over already!
3D Mixed Media Study Plus created a range of hand-made Christmas decorations for the Christmas Tree in the foyer of the White Building this year.
The study plus group created origami paper stars from festive Christmas musical paper attached with rustic brown paper twine. Tom Ayling created a festive pudding theme paper from hand drawn designs edited on photoshop and printed in repeat, to create the other paper origami stars. The students also created wire and tyvek baubles using a heat manipulation technique and heat gun.
The big star feature on the top of the tree is a larger complicated 3D paper star made by Lowenna Symons and Ross Freeborn.
The students chose to follow a theme of icy blues and whites for this years tree.
